Who They Are

Tanners is family-owned, family-run and resolutely independent. It is run by James Tanner managing director, who is the fourth generation of the family to work in the company. The firm employs 106 people with the majority split between its distinctive, black & white headquarters in Shrewsbury and its distribution depot in Wales.

The Challenge

In order to be selected for this project we underwent a very thorough tendering process with the E-commerce team at Tanners, which when we won we asked Emma Pook the E-Commerce manager why we were picked.

We were really pleased to receive such a fine-detailed quote from a company that so clearly wanted to help grow our business! Having come from an ecommerce background themselves, Dan and Mike really understood the importance of website usability from the customer perspective and their desire to build an ongoing relationship with us beyond ‘Go Live’ really made them stand out from the crowd.

The Outcome

Another fantastic project really showcasing the capabilities of the Magento Enterprise platform to deliver the very best user journey, delivering the right content to the user at the right stages in the buying journey.

A recent usability test by a 3rd party agency stated that it delivered the best feedback results they had ever had from an E-Commerce site, which is a great testament to how well the client knows their customers but also how good our usability, design & Magento development experts translated that into a finished product.
